Finding a January Rhythm
Jan 04, 2025January can feel like a strange in-between time of the year, especially here in the southern hemisphere. The holiday buzz has faded, but for many, life hasn’t quite returned to its usual rhythm. Are we in the swing of things? Or are we just trying to figure out what day it is?
For some, January feels like limbo. Maybe you’re back at work, but the morning shows and news programs are still featuring their summer crew—not the familiar faces we’re used to seeing. Netflix seems to be stuck in holiday mode with endless lighthearted reruns. Kids are still off school, elderly parents might need more support, and the relentless summer heat doesn’t exactly help with those menopausal flushes. Thanks, Mother Nature!
Add in a social feed full of people flaunting their January getaways, and it’s easy to feel like everyone else is thriving while you’re just trying to keep your head above water. But here’s the truth: Most people are navigating their own version of this summer shuffle. It’s messy, imperfect, and completely normal to feel a little out of sync.
